Join us for our second annual Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Luncheon. SCC Center is located at 60 Almond School Road., just west of Bryson City on US 19/74.

The Qualla Country Trout Tournament
Friday through Sunday, September 1-3
$11 entry fee and $20,000 in tagged fish in the rivers on the Cherokee Reservation (excluding the 2.2 miles of catch and release waters). Hundreds of specially tagged fish will be stocked in the Cherokee public fishing waters. Open to all ages and for all legal fishing methods. Registration necessary to redeem cash prize. More info

Smoky Mountain Hook & Hackle Fly Tyers Retreat
October 6-7
Swain County Indoor Recreation Facility, Bryson City
Fly tyers, fly casting, rod builders, vendors and non-profits. Casting pond. Fly tying classes by SE FFI. Food by Casting Carolinas. Location: 240 West Deep Creek Road. Free admission, but donations for the museum would be welcome.

2nd Annual Smoky Mountain Fly Fishing Festival
Saturday, October 7, 9 am - 5 pm
Celebrating the rich fly fishing heritage of Western North Carolina at the depot in downtown Bryson City – just one block away from the Delayed Harvest waters on the Tuckasegee River. Vendors will display and demonstrate all types of fly fishing equipment - rod demos, fly tying, apparel and accessories. Rumble in the Rhododendron Fly Fishing Tournament
Friday & Saturday, October 27-29
$225 two-person team entry fee includes lunch and dinner. $10,000 in prizes divided among top teams. A fly-fishing competition held on the 2.2 miles of trophy, catch-and-release waters in Cherokee. More info
